This book explores a renewed vision of project management by articulating three inseparable dimensions: people, science, and tools. It argues that every project has a “soul”, a deep dynamic in which intention, relationships, and methodology must coexist in harmony.
The first part highlights the primacy of the human dimension. Leadership is presented as positive influence, grounded in empathy, high standards, and vision. The team is described as a living organism in which trust, psychological safety, and autonomy are essential conditions for success. Communication, values, and ethics emerge as the invisible levers that shape behaviors, smooth interactions, and guide decision-making.
The second part places project management within a scientific approach. It examines models, cognitive biases, strategic analysis, and the necessity of learning from failure. The project thus becomes a field of rational observation, where decision-making relies on logic, data, and feedback rather than intuition alone.
The third part shows that tools, methods, technologies, and AI are supports, not solutions. Their value lies in their ability to serve people and amplify the coherence of the whole. The goal is not technical sophistication for its own sake, but intelligent orchestration between people, methods, and systems.
The book concludes with a vision of responsible management, where the manager acts as a conductor, the project becomes a space for human transformation, and the organization learns to reconcile performance, meaning, and humanity.
